Our Mission to the Moon: Marking the 45th Anniversary
This past July marked the 45th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.  On July 20, 1969 Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins and Neal Armstrong became the first humans to land on the moon. Neil Armstrong became the first person to step foot on the moon's surface.           



2014 STEM Day at the Capitol: Students, educators rally in support of STEM education
Matthew McKean is eager to explain the features of the LEGO robot he built along with his friends. Matthew, a fourth grader at Kennerly Elementary School, holds the robot in his hand, pointing out how their robot could help fight wildfires-interacting with ambulances, moving power generators, signaling to aircraft.  


2013 Missouri STEM Summit: The Work Continues 
The Missouri Mathematics and Science Coalition hosted the Missouri STEM Summit 2013 to bring together business, education, and community leaders to advance the agenda for innovation in Missouri's STEM education and policy development.  More than 200 attended to advance the STEM dialogue.  


2013 STEM Week: Tornado Alley Outreach Tour to students across the state during STEM Week
The Missouri Mathematics and Science Coalition, in conjuction with Giant Screen Films and the National Science Foundation worked together to bring the Tornado Alley Outreach Tour to Florissant, Ferguson, Camdenton, St. Roberts, Rolla and Joplin.
